Resilience Training & Coaching for Care for the Carers

Supporting carers in challenging times requires a strong, resilient team behind them.

To ensure that the dedicated professionals at Care for the Carers could continue to provide vital support to those in unpaid caring roles, I delivered a comprehensive resilience training programme, followed by one-to-one coaching to support individual implementation. This initiative aimed to equip team members with the tools to manage stress, maintain emotional resilience, and sustain their well-being while working in high-pressure environments.

By reinforcing resilience at every level, from frontline staff to senior leadership and volunteers, this training empowered the entire organisation to continue its vital work with confidence and sustainability.

The resilience training provided a structured framework to help team members understand and develop key resilience strategies. Participants explored practical techniques for managing stress, maintaining emotional well-being, and building mental toughness. Following the training, personalised one-to-one coaching sessions offered additional support to individuals, helping them to apply resilience techniques to their specific challenges and work environments.

This holistic approach ensured that staff members felt supported and equipped to continue their vital work without burnout or emotional exhaustion.

Maintaining Safe Boundaries in Carer Support Roles

In addition to resilience training, I developed and delivered a bespoke Boundaries Training programme for Care for the Carers staff.

This essential training focused on maintaining professional and personal boundaries while supporting carers who may be distressed. Team members often find themselves in emotionally charged situations where carers need immediate support, making it crucial to establish clear boundaries to protect both the staff and those they support. The training provided practical tools for setting limits, managing emotional load, and setting and communicating boundaries.

 

Empowering Volunteers with Boundaries Training

Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of Care for the Carers, and ensuring they have the right skills and knowledge is essential. As a speaker at their volunteer thank-you event, I had the privilege of acknowledging their invaluable contributions and delivering boundaries training specifically tailored for volunteers.

This training helped them understand how to navigate their roles effectively while maintaining healthy limits, preventing emotional overwhelm, and ensuring a positive and sustainable volunteering experience.
